Really wanted to love it…but I don’t. – I have a mini evaporative cooler that I bought hastily and fell in love with. I saw this and got excited by the prospect of a larger, more powerful version to help keep my pets cool (no A/C in the apt) yet try as I might, I don’t even like it…

Nice strong air flow – It didn’t in my opinion cool my living room which has a high ceiling but it did a great job in the smaller bedroom on one of the worst summer nights to try and sleep.

It doesn’t work like ivv be thought it would! It doesn’t oscillate – Not like I thought

Works as I expected it to – Keeping me comfortable during the dog days of summer, although I dislike that its added another routine to my days: 1. freeze the filter, 2. An hour or so later replace filter, add ice cubes and fill with water. 3. 16-24 hours later, repeat. 4. Once a week put filter in dishwasher to clean the next time the dishwasher is run. I don’t use tap or distilled water, so far filtered water and ice is fine. Only reason I won’t give a 5 star rating is because it doesn’t come with a remote and I can’t figure out how to hack it for remote functionality. No I’m not too lazy to get up, I’m old, disabled and don’t have kids (the back in the day parents remote:-)

It’s ok – It works only to an extent and it does leak water on the floor but it doesn’t cool the room like it suppose to I just use it as a humidifier and fan

It doesn’t cool as well as described – It claims to “cool” a small room. However, it cooled it just as as much as a regular fan would. This was using the included ice pack, plus freezing water from the fridge. For the cost, and the hassle of having to fill it up with ice cold water, it’s simply not worth the buy.

Nice fan – To get the cooling effect of the fan you have to soak the filter in cold water and then freeze the cooling pack. If you are somewhere with no freezer it’s just another fan.

works well except for the water spraying out of the front – After priming the water curtain/filter with cold tap water and filling the reservoir with filtered water, it performed well. After running it for an hour, water started spraying out near the curtain’s reservoir. I tried cleaning out the port at the top to clean of any debris and that did not work. I was forced to empty the tank and dry everything enough to use it without using the reservoir tank to replenish moisture in the water curtain. Repriming the water curtain with cold tap water will work for now until I can afford to replace it. I would be too much of a hassle returning it without an available alternative air cooler therefore, I will have to use it as is. The water curtain is too long to fit in my apartment’s refrigerator freezer for the added cooling effect.
