      Not for a large garage. – I purchased for 24′ x 24′ garage. In N.C., the AC could not keep up. Basically no affect on a 90+ degree day. It’s getting colder now. So, heat is a little better, but still not up to par. Bottom line, do not purchase if you are using in a large area. May work well in 1 small room, but not for large outdoor garage!

      Works as advertised – I just got this today. There’s a heat wave here, so I was a bit impatient when setting it up, so installation took a bit longer than I expected. I’m very impressed by how well this cools my bedroom down. It’s loud, but I’ve owned fans that were louder. In fact, the fan I was using was just as loud on high.

      Solid performance so far – This unit has performed well as a bedroom unit through the summer. The remote is basic, but functional. The iconography on the modes is a bit challenging to differentiate between at a glance. All of that said, it cooled our room all summer.

      A lot less value than previous Honeywell Portable Air Conditioners – This is my third Honeywell Air Conditioner I have purchased over the past 7 years. As I move into larger apartments, I have upgraded the air conditioner to higher BTU and kept going with Honeywell because I was satisfied with the ease of use of the brand and its effectiveness. However, I have noticed with this purchase that you get less and less and spend more. The previous two air conditioner purchases from Honeywell included a water drain hose and dust cover. This package does not and it cost more than the previous two purchases. This one is without a doubt the noisiest one out of the three. I am not sure if that is because it is higher BTU. I run the AC overnight in the main room and it is louder than the previous one was in the bedroom. Also with this version, the remote control is the primary tool for using/controlling the AC. The previous AC’s had buttons on the actual unit that could be used so don’t lose the remote for this version!
