Pretty good. – End of the line for these type of A/C units.

R32 and Rotary Compressor – Good unit if you use an outdoor support – I bought 3 of the LG 8000s total, as well as two very expensive Friedrich Kuhl heat pumps to replace a large Lennox Central Heat Pump that failed after 25 years of service… so here is a very long winded review, covering all three of those pretty much. I’ll put the info about the LG first for those of you who want only the bare bones of the story, then follow up with the entire documentary. 🙂

This unit is COOL!!! – This is a great air conditioner. I love the quiet, low setting for at night. Not that it’s loud on the other settings. It cools great, the remote is user friendly. This one even has a red light that comes on to let you know it’s time to clean the filter! My previous unit was an LG and it was still cooling after about 9-10 years. Just started having some lite rattling and a thump when the compressor kicked on, so I decided to get this one. I’m more then pleased and highly recommend.

4 Stars for value. 2 FOR Noise – Replaced a smaller unit in a 12 by 15 room. The unit cools off the room efficiently but is very loud compared to similar units. The energy saver works but start up noise will wake you from your sleep. 4 stars for value but I would pay up for a quieter model

Works fantastic – Bought this unit for my bedroom, and waited three months before reviewing. Everyone else in house likes it about 80°, I like it at 75° and 70° when I sleep. The unit works fantastic. This unit saves me around $60 a month on my electric bill. The only issue is the clean filter light comes on when the filter is barely dirty. The only way I found to get the light to go out is leave unplugged for multiple hours. It’s really not a big deal, but I’m really OCD and the light being on makes me nuts. But… Whatever I’m not sweating.
