Reviews overrated – This is worth 15 bucks nothing more simple fan and limited on moving up or down. It was 85 in my room and did not cool me off at all.

It’s a classy look but the design for the water reservoir could be better – I’m not going to add pictures because there are already enough on here. I don’t like these fans with the bottom water base, because it requires you to pull off the top, and they seldom come completely off. On this fan, you have to un-clip the entire fan from the base, and it still just folds over as you can see in the other review photographs. This can be a pretty big inconvenience if you have limited desk space, or if you have it on the corner of your desk and you need to move it to fill up the water bin. Now I know it has a flap to pour in water, but I don’t necessarily like doing that with the water in a small reserve slot, given I have electrical cables on the floor under my desk. It’s also not practical to pour ice into. So I drop one star for the design, and one for the price. If I spent another $30, I could get an entire window until on sale at sam’s club. Obviously if that was an option I would have done it, but it’s still overpriced. It does cool like all the other desktop A/C units, and it has a very nice design, and the sound, even on high,. is pleasant. I’ll probably hold on to it and put it in my guest room, but I will definitely be purchasing a top load model for my office.

Works ok as is, but the tips I mention made this a great little unit. – It is not cold, just cool. It is easy to use and is a bit noisy on the 3rd level. It’s fine for me sitting about 1.5 feet away. Here is the tip which works much better. I bought the food grade plastic square ice cubes. 6 of them fit comfortably in the reserve at the bottom. I love having the reserve at the bottom, so easy to fill. I had an artic air from last year which leaked even if you just looked at it! I took the blue expandable filter strip and cut soaked and rolled it thick enough to stay put in the vents . These steps were a game changer and it puts cold air like a mini refrigerated air unit.

GREAT PRODUCT if you are in quick and easy need of a light A/C-Like unit – It is not a true “Air conditioner” as we are not near being able to replicate that kind of technology in a portable, small unit yet. So I think a majority of the bad reviews on this product comes on people’s perception of that word alone in the description.

Wish it had a bigger water tank. – This is a wonderful little air conditioner/ humidifier. It is very easy to use and can be moved anywhere that has a power outlet. It works perfectly to cool my bedroom or work desk at the office. The noise level is low so I don’t have to turn it off when I am on the phone.
