IT LEAKS!! – Set it up and had it running in my kitchen. It leaked all over my hardwood floor. I didn’t notice right away so I now have damaged floors! I reset it up and have been watching it closely. It is leaking. Do not buy this product. I broke down the boxes. Hoping I can still return it.

Doesn’t work like I expected, based on the information. – It did not have adequate instructions, so I was not sure where or how to add the “ice bottles”. There is a reservoir for water, which also has the pump, hose and some weird white brackets that did not work with anything. The whole premise of this product was that it would blow cold air which it did not. The fan itself barely blew any air, and in order for a fan to cool, it must blow a certain velocity. I’ve done more research and decided there are much better products out there. They cost a bit more, but if they work it will be worth it. I will not pay $100 or any amount for something that does not work as advertised!

OK as a fan but not as an evaporative cooler – The evaporation surface area (the screen over which water flows and evaporates) is too small to produce noticeable cooling. A medium to large box fan with four (left, right, top, rear) sides as evaporative surfaces should fare much better. Also, remember that evaporative cooling works best during low humidity conditions (relative humidity <50%).
